Both Bee and Me were bitten by the travel bug a long time ago- even before we met each other.
Neither of us likes the idea of traveling in packaged tour groups- not that there is anything wrong with packaged tours. On the contrary, they provide a very disciplined, comfortable and informed travel option. It’s just that we are prefer independent travel.
There are no schedules to adhere to, no definite time allotted to particular site/experience, no strict guidebook for what to see and do. Every trip involves immaculate planning and research- which plane/train to take, which hotels to stay at, what is the best time to visit a place, what’s there to see-do-experience at each place, what should the cap on the budget be, the history and culture of the place…..
Then comes the execution part- passports, visas, ticket printouts, hotel bookings- the lot! It is more painful and time-consuming; but for us- all of this is a beautiful part of the journey (even before the actual trip begins) 🙂 🙂
Right from the beginning, we have maintained diaries of our travel adventures. The idea behind the “Travel Diaries” series is to share some of the contents of these diaries- some part of the research, some of our experiences -both good and bad- with our friends, with the World.
We hope you enjoy being a part of our journey!
P.S. Feel free to drop in any query/feedback. We look forward to responding to these! 🙂 🙂
